Que Kristen Stewart es la nueva Coco Chanel ya lo sabéis (bueno, a lo mejor aún no),y que además es la niña bonita de Karl Lagerfeld tampoco es nada nuevo. Así que, aprovechando que la joven actriz es la prota del film que el káiser de la moda dirige sobre la mujer que marcó un antes y un después en el mundo de la moda, también quiero hacer un breve repaso las distintas adaptaciones audiovisuales que han querido rendir culto a la talentosa Coco Chanel (1883 - 1971).
No voy a hablar sobre la vida de Gabrielle Chanel (su auténtico nombre), ya que eso merece sin duda un post a parte. Aunque sí que conviene resaltar el impacto que Coco Chanel tuvo en el mundo de la moda y en el vestir de las mujeres, rompiendo así con lo establecido, en una época en la que las mujeres se encontraban en una clara desventaja con respecto a los hombres en todos los aspectos.
Karl Lagerfeld, que actualmente es el director creativo de la famosa casa de moda francesa, ha dirigido el film Once and Forever, en el que Kristen interpreta a la joven Coco Chanel (Geraldine Chaplin encarna a la Coco Chanel más madura), y el cual fue proyectado en Roma en el último desfile de Chanel, Métiers d'Art Paris à Rome 2016.

You already know that Kristen Stewart is the new Coco Chanel (or maybe you don't), and that she's the apple of Karl Lagerfeld's eye is also common knowledge. So, as the young actress is the protagonist of the film that the fashion kaiser recorded about the woman that was a turning point within the fashion world, I also want to make a brief review about the several adaptations for TV and cinema that intended to praise the talented Coco Chanel (1883 - 1971).
I won't talk about the life of Gabrielle Chanel (that was her real name), as that needs a post of its own. Although, I really want to highlight the impact that Coco Chanel had upon the fashion world and in the way that women dressed at that time, breaking thus with the established rules at a time in which women had a clear disadvantage respect to men in every aspect.
Karl Lagerfeld, currently the creative director of the famous French fashion house, has directed the film Once and Forever, being Kristen the young Coco Chanel (and Geraldine Chaplin the more mature one). The film was showed in Rome at the latest Chanel fashion show, Métiers d'Art Paris à Rome 2016.
