Rihanna | First Black Ambassador of Dior

Robyn Rihanna Fenty (Rihanna @rihanna) has always been deeply involved within the fashion world and, like it or not, she's one of the most trendy celebs, attracting our attention with her clothes, or with the absence of those.

RiRi, who's working on her new album, comes to fashion as new Dior ambassador, becoming this in the first black woman to be face of the firm. To be more precise, Rihanna will star in the first of a series of fashion films for the Secret Garden campaing that Dior launches every year.

Some of the fashion achievements of the girl from Barbados are, for instance, her first clothing line for Armani (2011). In 2013 she presented her first collection at the London Fashion Week with River Island (already four). She also has her own TV show, Styled to Rock. The British version (you can watch the episodes on Youtube: here) was launched in 2012. In this contest, Rihanna together with Nicola Roberts (singer, songwriter and entrepeneour @NicolaRoberts), Lysa Cooper (celeb American stylist @LysaCooper) and Henry Holland (British designer and blogger @henryholland) were in charge of choosing every week the best designer contender (and also eliminate the worst). Each week, they had to design one or more outfits for famous artists, trying to reach the prize of designing an outfit for Rihanna herself to be wore at one of her concerts.
The American version of Styled to Rock was launched in 2013, and in the same year, Balmain announced the she would be the image of her next campaing.

Bringing back the issue of Rihanna as Dior ambassador, such fashion film will be directed by Steven Klein (@stevenkleinstudio), American photographer who's worked for Calvin KleinDolce & GabbanaAlexander McQueen or Nike, among others, and its images could be seen in a few weeks. Rihanna becomes thus the successor of Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman.
